Join us for a work party and snowshoe stomp!
We’re planning a trail work day on February 8, 2025 where we’re giving back to our mountain and fat bike friends and working on some of Blue Highway, alsode with classic McGillvary Falls loop.
Plan: Expect to cover ~5-10 kms over 6 hours of trail maintenance.
When: 9:00 am at the McGillvary Falls parking lot, carpool meet up in Winnipeg will be 7 am.

We typically cover 10-12 km over 5-6 hours on the trail.
Activities can include sawing, lopping, and otherwise clearing deadfall and downed trees, sprucing up signage, picking up trash, and during the winter we may snowshoe pack trails in addition to other work. MATR has a number of snowshoes we can lend to members who’d like to join us for a trail stomp if they don’t have their own.
Carpooling from Winnipeg will be arranged amongst those who RSVP by signing up. You must RSVP for this trail work event. Please complete this waiver if it’s your first time joining us for trail work in 2026 and email it to info@matr.ca before joining us.
