Join us this Sunday for trail run on the single track in Assiniboine Forest - note this is a location change from our previously published plan.

When: 10 am at the trailhead, welcome and run at 10:15 am.
Where: Assiniboine Forest, Winnipeg

We’ll take you on a 6km tour that brings you to the three old cars hidden in the forest, plus hits the marsh boardwalk and stops at the lookout point for a cartwheel break. Read more about the history and how cars ended up in the forest. You can run this loop once OR MORE! We’ll pre-mark the route with pink flagging tape to help all runners navigate through the single track.

For this run, we’ll meet at the parking lot for Assiniboine Forest at 3000 Grant Ave. Note, this is a small parking lot, that can be quite busy, especially on a nice day. Please plan to carpool with friends to the trailhead if you’re joining us!

Hot Tip: Have a warm layer of clothes/jacket for the drive home. You can get chilled quickly in damp running clothes, particularly in cooler temperatures, and a warm, dry layer can be helpful.

Please dress appropriately for the weather and effort, as we are planning this outing regardless of temperatures. Layer wisely!

Hot Tip: Have extra food, dry clothes and shoes for the ride home.

We’re all-weather runners, and this run will take place despite the deep freeze. You are ultimately responsible for deciding whether the conditions are within your comfort zone for running.
