Wo-Mantario Trail Reflections

The province announced on June 11 that the Mantario Hiking Trail is expected to be closed for an extended period. The province warns that anyone who was planning to use the trail this summer should make alternate plans as the wildfire in the Mantario Wilderness Zone continued to burn out of control.

Trail runner and MATR member, Renée Desjardins, spoke to Marcy Markusa, host of CBC Information Radio 89.3FM on Wednesday, June 18 about what the indefinite closure of the Mantario trail means to her.
